Premier League Showdown 2 began in January 2018 and was slightly short than the first season, with two teams being spared by each player.
Undefeated in four, Jacob Redfern took an early lead. Darius D’Cunha, Charlie Jennings and Jack McGarry took up the chase and the top four began to take shape. Jacob was heavy favourite with two games to go but Jack was handed a chance to win the double when Manchester City drew 0-0.
Relegated Swansea lost 1-2 at home to Stoke and the rest is history. Jack’s Liverpool won 4-0 and the champion went two points clear.
Demi D’Cunha spent much of the season in last place but rallied to take an unexpected seventh. Mike Franchetti lost just one game but drew eight. Unbeaten in the last twelve, he climbed to fifth.
For the second season running, Conor Griffiths came last.
